Being the last generation of Impalas to hit the market, these will come with the most modern features. Hitting the roads in 2014, all trim levels were equipped with a six-speed automatic that came with sport and manual shifting modes. The trim levels that you can find are the LS, LT, and LTZ (later renamed to Premier).
Doing a quick trim breakdown, the LS came with a 2.5L EcoTec I4 engine. This engine came with an EPA rating of 24 MPG combined, which, for the time, is among the best. Being that this engine is fairly sizable, it also comes with some decent power, making 196 horsepower.
The LT also comes with the same engine, but it does offer slightly better style. Some of the features that make this look better than the LS are the 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, 8-inch Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system, security system, remote vehicle start, premium cloth seating surfaces with leatherette trim, dual power-adjustable front bucket seats, color-keyed side mirrors, and wood interior trim.
The LTZ is the top of the lineup, and it builds on the LT, but this time it adds a 3.6L V6. This engine makes 305 horsepower, as well as 264 lb-ft of torque. While more powerful, it does lose a bit on mileage, now only coming with an EPA-rated 22 MPG combined. It also comes with some upgraded features like the 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, keyless access with push-button start, luxury leather-trimmed seating surfaces, dual heated front and rear seats, heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a rearview backup camera system.
Over the next few years, the model didn't really change much, but in 2016, both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were added. This makes it so that you can connect to your phone with ease, ditching the finicky Bluetooth.
Starting in 2018, the model saw some new colors join the lineup, with these being Nightfall Gray Metallic, Graphite Metallic, and Cajun Red Tintcoat. Some new standard features were also added, with these being the keyless entry and push-button start.
A heated steering wheel is now part of the LT Convenience package, and the LT model also receives a new Sunroof and Spoiler package. This gives you something to keep an eye out for if you want something that comes with the best features available.
For the 2019 models, they didn't see any change at all, and that is because GM had announced that the Impala lineup was coming to an end. This was the last year that the legendary Impala was seen as a new model, and it wrapped up decades of success. But with the North American market shifting in taste, it was time to put it on the shelf on its own terms.
