Hitting the markets in 2014, this Yukon generation came with the SLE, SLT, and Denali trims. The Denali being the top-of-the-line trim came with some of the best features on the market. This was new active noise-cancellation tech, as well as the 3rd gen of magnetic ride control suspension to help keep things smooth.
Much like the most recent generation, the Denali had some exclusive things, with this one being an engine. This engine is the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 that can output 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The other engine that can be found on the Yukon is the 5.3L V8 which came with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.
From this era, the most efficient engine is the 5.3L V8. While it is good for the time at 19 MPG combined, it isn’t as high as the most recent generation.
For 2016, the Yukon saw some changes. The SLT trim now sees a hands free power liftgate able to be added to the trim as part of a package, while in 2017, the best feature yet was added to the Denali.
If you want the best features from this generation, then 2017 is the year for you as the head-up display was added to the Denali, as well as new 22-inch ultra bright aluminum wheels. If you find a SLT, or Denali trim from this year, you can now look for heated, and vented front row seating. This makes it one of the most comfortable year models from this generation.
Over the next few years, the lineup didn’t see much change, with mainly the cosmetics of the Yukon being changed thanks to a few new colors.
