Second Generation (2023-Present)
This generation hit the roads in North America in 2024. While it was released in China during 2023, they had a year to give it a try before we got the more refined model. The infotainment center on the Nautilus can be found with a massive 48-inch display. This is made up of two 24-inch displays that are controlled by the lower 11.1-inch touchscreen. Giving you a huge canvas for everything you need to get to your destination.
This generation comes with two engine options. Both being 2.0L I4, but one being a hybrid, and the other being a regular gas engine. The gas engine has an EPA estimated 30 MPG combined, with both city, and highway estimated being neck and neck. Thanks to the fuel tank capacity, you can hit 600 miles on one tank with this set up. The other engine, being a traditional engine, has an EPA estimated 24 MPG combined. Really shining on the highway at 29 MPG, able to go 480 miles on one tank.
First Generation (2019-2022)
When this generation hit the market, it was originally a different vehicle, but Lincoln saw its potential, and made it into what we know today. The Nautilus of this generation came with a 2.0L I4 engine, and a 2.7L V6. The 2.0L I4 has the same numbers as the second generation, but the 2.7L V6 can do roughly the same. This has an EPA estimated range of 22 MPG combined.
This generation came in 4 trims, but in 2020, the Select trim was dropped. This left behind the Standard, Reserve, and Black Label trims. Both the Reserve, and Black Label trims came with a power liftgate as a standard option. Obviously, this lifgate made it easy to access the rear of the vehicle.
In 2021, the Nautilus saw a pretty large interior redesign. The new dash came with a larger 13.2-inch screen that came with SYNC 4. The old shifter setup was ditched, and replaced with the new piano-key shifter.
In 2022, the vehicle didn’t see much change as it saw huge changes the year before. But some new packages are available. The Premium package comes with 18-inch wheels, a power-adjustable steering column, a universal garage-door remote, and an in-dash navigation.
The Reserve trim can be found with a Luxury package that adds a hands-free power liftgate, a 13-speaker stereo system, and the ability to use a phone to lock and unlock your Nautilus.
Is the Lincoln Nautilus a good used luxury SUV?
Yes, it is, and it’s only getting better. If you’re wanting to get behind the wheel of a used Nautilus, we recommend something from the second generation, but really, anything after 2021 is great.
