The third-generation Sequoia kicked off fairly recently, and it builds on the success of the one before it. When it hit the market, it came in five trims, four of which came from the year before. The trims are the SR5, Limited, Platinum, and TRD Pro, with the Capstone being new.
No matter the trim, you can tow up to 9,300 pounds, making this one of the most capable in its class. For the seating options, the lower-end trims come with 8 passenger seating, but if you want the most comfort, then you can look for higher-end models that come with 7 passenger seating.
For most trims, outside of the SR5, you can find a 14-inch screen, making it much larger than the ones that came before it. This screen equips the vehicle with “smartphone-mirroring and other connectivity options, including a Wi-Fi hotspot and various music-streaming options.”
Being that this is more often than not going to have more than just you in the driver’s seat, it comes with a few safety features that will make sure that when you’re on the road, you’ll get to where you need to go in one piece. These features are adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking.
This model also comes with a ton of features to keep an eye out for if you want the most from it. Some of these are the heated and cooled second-row seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium stereo system.
As for now, this generation only comes with one engine, this being the 3.4L V6 hybrid option. This comes with an EPA-rated 22 MPG combined, making it a great find for its size.
