In the midsize pickup market, a name you can consistently depend on to be towards the top of any “best of” list is the Ford Ranger. Fresh off the heels of a well received facelift in 2024, the 2025 Ranger is set to build on the goodwill of its predecessor by continuing to offer many of the same features that buyers loved last year.

Yes! The new 2025 Ranger is expected to carry over many of the changes from last year that saw the Midsize Pickup smooth out many of its rough points, while also introducing a new engine that turned the Ranger into a serious powerhouse.

There should be around four trim levels this year if 2024 is anything to go by, with three engine choices between them. There’s the base engine, the turbo 2.3-liter inline four capable of producing 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, as well as the new engine introduced in 2024, the 2.7-liter v6 that’s capable of producing 315 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.

Finally, buyers can also anticipate the return of the 3.0 liter v6 that’s exclusive to the Raptor, which is capable of producing 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, as well as a host of off-road oriented changes that we’ll cover in greater detail. All of that comes at the rather modest asking price of $34,575.

Next is the XLT, sporting features such as Ford CoPilot, Blind-spot warning, and a convenient 120-volt outlet. This option also unlocks access to the 315 horsepower turbo V6, a sporty, but affordable option for the trim, and clocks in at around $37,105. From here, we come to the Lariat, which is expected to include heated, power seats with some neat leather trimming, as well as all terrain tires and a 12″ LCD touchscreen. For this luxury pickup, one can expect to pay $45,375.
