When this generation hit the roads, it came in three trims. The trims were the Luxury, Sport, and Premium Luxury trims. Most models you find used will be powered by a 2.0L I4 engine. This engine makes 237 horsepower, and 258 lb-ft of torque. But if you’re wanting a bit more power, then you can look for a Premium Luxury trim that is equipped with a 2.7L I4 that produces 310 horsepower.
The 2.0L I4 engine gets decent gas mileage at 27 MPG combined, with the EPA noting that it has a maximum range of 470 miles.
No matter which trim you get, you can look for some standard luxury features. These were 12-way power adjustable front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control. But if you’re wanting things like a leather upholstery, then you’ll need something on the higher-end.
All trims will be equipped with an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with phone connectivity. If you find a model that is equipped with the optional navigation package, you’ll be treated to a wireless charging pad, and a 14-speaker Bose premium stereo.
While the base lineup has been covered, there’s two other models that were lurking in the shadows. These models are the CT4-V, and the CT4-V Blackwing.
The base CT4-V is powered by a 2.7L I4 engine that can produce 325 horsepower, and 380 lb-ft of torque. If you’re wanting the most power, then you should look for the Blackwing. This comes with a 3.6L twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Capable of producing 472 horsepower, and 445 lb-ft of torque.
In tests done by Car and Driver, you will be able to go 0-60 in 4.0-seconds. This model can also do a quarter mile in just 12.4-seconds. Making this more than just a Cadillac.
In 2021, the model entered its second year on the market, and with it came some new features. For those who are wanting something a bit more upscale, you can look for a model that is equipped with an optional 12-inch digital gauge. This year also saw some optional safety features now as standard. These are automated emergency braking, and pedestrian detection.
For 2022, the new features were pretty sparse, with the biggest change being wireless phone connectivity is now standard. Over the next few years, the lineup remained dormant in terms of new features.
While it will be hard to find, the 2025 model does come with some new features. At the time of writing, this is the newest model, but over time, they will become available on the used market. Some features that you can look for are heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Premium Luxury, and Sport trims come with ventilated front-row seating.
