While this engine can tow a lot, it is an SUV at the end of the day, and you probably want something efficient enough to use as a family vehicle, and this one is surprisingly efficient for its size. This engine comes with an EPA rating of 18 MPG combined, making it so that you can pack the whole family in and not have to worry about stopping at the pump every couple of hundred miles, since you can go up to 425 miles on one tank.

While a pair of 12.3-inch screens is standard on all trims, the higher-end trims do come with the option for larger screens, so when you find a newer generation high-end trim, you might have something special. No matter what trim you’re looking at from this generation, you’ll find that it comes with standard wireless phone connectivity thanks to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Another feature that you can find on this trim is a wireless charging pad, making it easy to stay fully charged on long trips.

Moving on to a trim that you’re more likely to find, there’s the second generation. This one comes powered by a 5.6L V8 engine, making this larger than the newest iteration. Despite being larger, it does produce less horsepower at 390 and less torque at 394 lb-ft. The size also makes it take a small hit to the MPG, coming with an EPA-rated 16 MPG combined. While this is slightly less, it does get roughly the same overall mileage at 416 miles on one tank. While the engine is a bit weaker, the towing capacity remains the same, thanks to the vehicle being built the same, coming with the same 8,500-lb towing capacity.

Unlike the newer generation, this one comes with three trims to pick from these being the SV, SL, and Platinum trims. All of these are offered in both 2WD and 4WD variants, making it easier to find what you want.

While this is a larger model, able to seat up to 8, if you want the most comfort, we recommend looking for a model that comes with second row bucket seats, instead of the bench. This will make it more comfortable for adults if you’re using this to transport execs, and not family.
