When this generation was teased, the main focus was on the 38-inch curved OLED screen dashboard. This was a first, not only for Cadillac but for the industry as a whole. During 2020, the Super Cruise feature was added, allowing hands-free self-driving for certain roads.
This generation is offered in 5 trims, the trims being the Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sport Platinum. The new audio system is brought to you by AKG and features 36 speakers throughout the cabin.
For the 2024 model, Cadillac gave the Escalade a facelift. This new build came with a new exterior look, with the biggest one being 24-inch alloy wheels. These are the biggest ones to have been featured on the model.
For the interior, there’s also some change. Another big change is to the display. Cadillac saw the older 38-inch screen, and thought that they could do better. For the new screen, you can now look for a 55-inch screen.
To help make this vehicle even better for executives on the Executive Second Row package. This includes a center console with a rear command center, and has optional second row massage seats, as well as two 12.6-inch touchscreen displays.
For the base Cadillac, there were two engine options to pick from. The engines were the 6.2L V8, and the 3.0L I6 diesel. The 6.2L engine produces 420 horsepower, and 460 lb-ft of torque. Being that this is a large engine, on a large vehicle, it doesn’t come with the best mileage. You can expect 16 MPG combined, as tested by the EPA.
If you want better mileage, then you’ll be better off looking for one that is equipped with the diesel engine. This engine gets 23 MPG combined, with a total range of 552 miles.
Being that this is an SUV, it still retains the ability to tow. If you want the most towing potential at 8,100-pounds, you’ll need a model that is equipped with the 6.2L V8.
If you’re looking for something a bit more sporty, then you can look for an Escalade-V. This comes with a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that can produce 682 horsepower, and 653 lb-ft of torque. In tests done by Car and Driver, the Escalade-V can go 0-60 in 4.3-seconds, and a quarter mile in 12.7-seconds.
