2024 was the last time that the Titans hit the roads as new models, but because it was around for nearly a decade, there’s a few options to pick from. When this generation first hit the roads, it came with a 5.6L V8 that was able to produce 390 horsepower, and 394 lb-ft of torque. While this is strong, for the time, it was also pretty efficient, as it came with an EPA rating of 18 MPG combined.
This generation also brought another edition, the XD, and it came with a beefier 5.0L V8 turbodiesel engine. This was able to produce 310 horsepower, and 555 lb-ft of torque. But as they are slightly different builds, we won’t go into depth.
No matter what you end up finding, the Titan can tow 9,240-pounds for most builds, the most that it can tow is 9,660-pounds, properly equipped as per Car and Driver.
Before the 2020 refresh, this model saw a few builds to pick from. Nissan offered a pair of 4-door configurations, the extended and crew cabs. But it also featured a 2-door regular cab configuration. No matter which trim you find, it comes with Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling and music streaming. They also are equipped with a rearview backup camera system.
In 2019, the Titan saw a minor change to the line, with a new infotainment system joining the family. This saw the inclusion of GPS navigation, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. This is all added to the new 7-inch touchscreen.
When 2020 came around, the diesel engine was dropped, leaving the V8 option. This did see a slight upgrade from the years before, now coming with 400 horsepower, and 413 lb-ft of torque.
If you were wanting a bit more, then you can look for models that may be equipped with the optional 9-inch screen. This added high definition looks to the lineup, making it even more clear to see what is behind you. A dual-panel panoramic moon roof was also added, giving you some “luxury” to this light duty truck.
This update also made the truck safer, this was done by adding the 360° Safety Shield as standard features. This includes lane departure warning, high-beam assist, auto emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear auto braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign detection, and forward collision warning.
